Colby's new word

Colby was in his crib playing this morning. I was hoping since it was 5 in the morning...and he just ate that he would go back to sleep...no such luck.

I was laying there listening to him babble. He has been saying "Mama"since January and "Mom" and "Baba" since early March. Today he added "Dada" John was so happy to hear him say it...I just think he wishes it wasn't at 6 a.m. :)

I am going to try and get it on video.

Crazy Weekend

This weekend was pretty crazy. The boys fevers didn't break until late afternoon Friday. So we didn't go to Music Together Friday night or Little Gym Saturday morning. I think Nate was getting a little stir crazy! LOL.

I had Cami's party Saturday afternoon so the boys were home with John. I have never left Colby for more than 2 hours....he was not too happy with me (or with being home with John) Saturday. He wanted lots of Mommy time and extra sleep on Sunday.

Sunday we took the boys to the bank so Nate could visit "Penny" he cashed in all his change (and on Penny's error) he got more money than he brought in!! He loved putting all his change in and watching it get counted! His ING account is growing!
Then we went to Wendy's for lunch and a quick (hour long ) trip to A&P. Colby slept through lunch and shopping. Nate fell asleep in the shopping cart for 15 mins. After a 4 hour nap on Saturday, the 15 mins didn't really cut it.

After dinner of French Onion Mac and Cheese (thanks Lauren) Nate wanted to watch a movie on our bed. Within 5 mins both he and Colby were out cold! YAY. or so I thought. Both of them going to sleep at 7:17p.m. for the night is NOT a good thing! They were both up for the day by 5 a.m. And as a result. Colby fell asleep while playing at 7:30 a.m. (sorry no pics John was playing with them while I was in the shower and he is sooo not the picture FREAK that I am :) And then Nate did this at 10...

No more early nights for them! LOL

I want to Rock and Roll

Even a 104.1 fever could not stop Nate from rockin out last night! LOL

We got to hear "Mingen Turtles" "Spiderman and his Friends" and "Here comes Peter Cottontail"

It only took a year (literally, he got his guitar last Easter) for him to finally really get into his guitar. I think its the good influence of his "best" Jake :) (He doesn't say best friend...Jake is just his best!)

New foods take 2

So we thought Colby might like sweet potato better than apples...

Yeah, not so much LOL!

Nathan is definitely John's son!!!

This is what I come downstairs to find this morning....

"Mommy look I have big boobies like you now" "These are my boobie balls"

Please tell me where this kid comes up with these things! He was so proud of himself too! He is soo going to get kicked out of preschool in Sept :)

First Fruit

We gave Colby his 1st taste of fruit last night. Apple!! This is our happy little guy before...

Here he is getting his first taste...
This is the aftermath! I don't think he likes it too much!
We tried some more this morning and got pretty much the same reaction. I think we will move on to Sweet Potato tomorrow :)

Our Family

I have decided to start a blog to keep everyone up to date on our family. I am also working on one for each of the boys too :) So here we go..Nathan is a little over 2 1/2 now. And Colby just turned 5 months. They are both getting so big and learning something new everyday.

Here are some pictures from Sunday...Colby's 1st Easter...
We start off the day with the boys finding their baskets..

Nathan got the special gift he asked for....101 Dalmations. He was so happy!

Colby got a sippy cup, some stage one foods and a new Pooh bear...

John had to get in on the action too :)
Nate looked out the window and realized that the Easter Bunny had "dropped his eggs" again! We didnt stay out all that long! We had to help the boys get the eggs quickly! It was freezing!
